Portrait photography with flash on location

LEARN HOW TO SHOOT LOCATION PORTRAITS WITH FLASH
LOCATION: OSLO/JELØY/MOSS  -  DATE: TO BE ANNOUNCED

Photographing good portraits never goes out of fashion, and is something that is both fun and useful to master. Three important elements are:

1) Catching the subjects personality
2) Setting a light that creates the desired mood and look
3) Finding out what equipment you need

These three elements also covers things like directing, dialogue, research, knowledge about lighting and people, knowing how to choose the right tools and finding environments and backgrounds.

I want to share my knowledge with you on this workshop, and we will work our way through different outdoor locations. I'll take you on a journey through different types of lighting that creates character and mood. From soft and beautiful, to hard with lots of character. I'll bring both flashes and small LED-panels, so we can combine these with the existing light.

It'll be a little bit about technique, but mostly about aesthetics. The goal is to use the locations, create exciting light, and communicating with a person in front of the camera.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn more about photographing portraits in outside locations. You'll need to master the basics of your camera, but I will cover the lighting techniques. Throughout this evening, we will create good dialogues with the subject in front of the camera, find good locations, and shape and create the light and mood we're after. Hopefully you will gain both new theoretical and practical knowledge, and maybe even get a creative boost with some new ideas.

The workshop lasts from 17:30 to 22:00, and is limited to 6 participants to make sure everybody is well taken care of. The course fee is NOK 1.950,- (including a model). You can join by sending me a message through the contact page, and I hope I'll see you at my workshop!
