The perfect camera is the camera you're carrying with you when whatever you like to take a picture of happens or shows up. Shooting pictures with a cellphone can be frustrating. Challenging. Difficult. But very rewarding, fun and liberating! With bigger cameras you can control almost anything, but with a cellphone you can hardly do anything else than push the button to take a picture. And that can be a good thing! Because then it's all about you. Not the equipment. That's why I shoot a lot with a cellphone, and I'm thrilled about its limitations, because limitations help me develop and become an even better photographer.
Cellphone photography workshop are becoming more and more popular. And I teach workshops on taking pictures with nothing but a cellphone for both individuals, media, companies and organizations. Like for instance the Norwegian Epilepsy Youth Organization (NEFU), and large international organizations like Norfund (the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries). They hired me to teach their employees that are spread around the globe, how to take even better pictures with nothing but a cellphone in their daily job. If you are interested in a workshop like this, please get in touch with me.
