As an architectural photographer, I work both to show a building in its surroundings, as well as using closer crops and details to create interesting photographs. From the obvious to the abstract. It's all about lines, shapes, light and color. A building can have many looks and personalities, depending on factors like the light and the time of year. Sometimes it is interesting to use the twilight, when the balance between the outside and inside lights are such that that the building starts to come alive. Other times it can be interesting to use hard light to create a more graphic expression. But things happen on the inside of a building as well. And my job as an interior photographer, is to create exciting images from the functional part of a building. Rooms. Areas. Details. Both with and without people. Inspiring and fun!
